I call "Bullshit!" on Dumbya's statement about Kerry's health plan.
Gonna break with popular discussion here and talk about something that does not have a folding stock...

Yesterday, the Chimp-in-Chief told us that Kerry's plan would have "Government Bureaucrat " deciding your health care. HIS plan would let patients and doctors choose treatment plans.

Oh REALLY????

So George, you're gonna give us something we don't have right now? You're gonna reform the HMO industry? I doubt it. You're gonna bite the hand (one of many) that feeds you?

As it stands now, I have insurance company "Bureaucrats" deciding my health care. I belong to an HMO, oh sure, they keep telling me "Don't call it an HMO, it's 'Managed Care'..." S'Yeah, right, it waddles and quacks...

Oh, sure, I can "pick" my own doctor...From a limited list of "Plan Providers", most of whom aren't accepting new patients. And their guidelines give them maybe 20 minutes to talk/diagnose/come up with a treatment plan for whatever ails me. 20 minutes.

Then there's the Drug Formulary...Some times, What my doctor prescribes, the insurance company won't pay for. So, i either go BACK to the doctor, or pay out-of-pocket....

See, George, you coke-addled, drunken frat boy, you and your friends might live in a world where you pick your own doctor, and a trip to see him is like going to Marcus Welby or Dr. Chegley, but that's not the way it goes for the rest of us.

Oh, by the way, if I should ever be lucky enough to retire from the workforce, that "McMedicine" I'm enjoying now can be mine for $600 a month out of pocket....

You suck, Dumbya.Your whole administration is about shovelling America's paychecks into your corporate buddy's already bulging pockets. You LIE to the Sheeple, and they eat it up because Rush tells them too.

2. Maybe Mary Beth told him it'd "go away"....
Just like the Slime Barge debacle.

Health Care is one of the things that's important to me. NOT what model typewriter somebody pecked out memos on, or whether or not you can get a bayonet lug on your popgun....Yeah, I have opinions of those topics, too, but Dumbya tells a lie and all I hear from Cahill is crickets chirping.

Does Donna Brazille still work for the DNC?

4. Seems like we all get it. People I work for and with get it.

The reality is, Kerry can't respond to every barb that is being thrown at him immediately, and we have to trust that people aren't as stupid as the liars are hoping. The average person who has to use and pay for the crappy health care system and those who don't even HAVE insurance probably get it.

It might be wishful thinking on my part, but I have a little faith in our citizens to comprehend what is being shoveled at them.

3. He used "Big Government" in his healthcare speech yesterday
Do people not realize that Dubya's government is the largest in history?

Also, with the patriot act it is one of the most intrusive and controlling governments in the history of our country.

Another interesting tidbit, for all the people sitting on the fence:

Bill Clinton's government, the last Democratic presidency, was smaller than Ronald Reagan's, George H W Bush's and the Current resident of the White House.

"Big Government" is a radical conservative catch-phrase used to incite anger among the anti-government faction of the voter base.

5. Then why isn't THAT some of the points Kerry/Edwards use!
I think what I get upset about is the media's just crappy ass job of covering any type of news these days.

7. The republicans are always coming up with Bullshit "fixes"
..on everything they do whether it be employment, environment, Health care or whatever. Christ!...the Health care system in this country doesn't need a "Fix" ...it's demands a complete overhaul.

The Republicans remind me of an automobile that they have been driving that has just blown a head gasket and transmission seals and they pull into an ATM to draw out some money to buy a fuckin' sparkplug...
