3. Would the Nazis have forgiven Jewish methamphetamine use
the same way they forgave Hitler's?

Same answer.

Same people doing the forgiving.

4. They "forgive" but they do not "forget"
Clinton would have worn the "Scarlet Letter"...a big "C" for "cocaine"...until his dying day.

Hard-core fundamentalist Christians have a very peculiar way of "forgiving" people.

"Normal" Christians understand that you cannot forgive someone "ninety percent." As long as you hold onto a piece of your hard-on for the person, you ain't forgivin' CHIT.

:-)

8. Think about any number of issues in the same light...

What if the terrorists had struck on Sept. 11, 2000, while Clinton was still in office. And let's say that Clinton spent the previous month on the longest presidential vacation in 32 years, had ignored warnings about Al Qaeda all year, and had received a PDB called "Bin Laden Determined To Strike" on August 6 and not done anything about it. Now let's say he hears the 9/11 news and sits in a chair for seven minutes, does nothing, continues with a photo op, then flies all over the country randomly and let's other people deal with the crisis.

What would Clinton's reputation be?

What if Clinton had no documentation of completing his military dury? What if he was the leader of Harken Energy and made almost $1 million by bailing on Harken stock right before it plummetted? What if he funnelled all sorts of goverment contracts to his cronies? What if he ran up a monumental deficit?

It boggles the mind how the two presidencies are held to different standards.

9. yeah but snorting cocaine for over 20 years?
the bornagain repubs i know would frown heavily at such a long past of cocaine abuse, even overlooking all the other bush crimes and vices. they hold cocaine use or drugs of any kind in the top ten awful things to do. even though there is no commandment that says thou shalt not get stoned.
