Should churches be allowed to formally endorse candidates? * 3133 responses

Yes; freedom of religion means the government should not restrict churches' political activities.
31%

No; organizations that explicitly try to influence politics should not be exempt from taxes.
69%

Not a scientifically valid survey.

Note: The site has two polls going, this one and also who you vote for president. It shows Bush ahead of Kerry at the moment so remember to DU that poll also.

6. Done. Actually, I was surprised with the results so far
since it just feels like the religious right has grown ten times strong this year.

7. DONE, but I was hoping that the poll would ask if all pulpit-dwelling...
grifters should lose their tax dodge status.

Nevertheless, the results are gratifying so far

9. I like the question about Bush's religious beliefs affecting his decisions
To answer that, you have to believe that

a) Bush asctually makes decisions in this administration.

b) Bush actually has sincere religious beliefs (doubtful, IMO)
