This convention audience of guardsmen is so OVERTHETOP with their enthusiasm, yet we know damn well that many reservists have been pissed for over a year about Bush's handling of Iraq and the forcing of reservists to serve past their required duty.

THE AUDIENCE IS STACKED. No doubt with handpicked guardsmen and Bush campaign supporters.

Bush would NEVER speak to an audience that WASN'T stacked in his favor.

News clips of Bush speaking and the sound of (and you described it exactly) thunderous applause. Almost like those laugh tracks where the amount/tone of the laughter doesn't quite fit with the tenor of the joke.

Those of us who can stomach it should start keeping track of videos where the audience isn't actually shown applauding. Something's not right here.
