My wife is being accosted by a freeper...
... through e-mail. The latest was an article about James Copeland who was in the alabama guard. I seem to remember hearing this but think maybe he was discredited later. The article was in the decatur daily news on February 16. I googled Copeland but didn't find anything about him except for the article the freeper sent. Why wasn't that story picked up by other news sources? My wife has given me permission to carpet bomb his e-mail account and I have started by sending him this weeks top ten idiots list. I need to know about this Copeland guy for my next sortie.

3. That why doesn't Bush tout this guy out?
Me thinks they don't want the Press to get ahold of anyone who actually knew Bush's activities 72-73 otherwise the Bush myths will be gone.

I find this whole story amusing because I was in the Army from 1985-91 and although I haven't kept in touch with most of my Army buddies, I bet in 15 minutes of Googling I could find 10 people who can vouch that I was on active duty for various times. But the President of the United States can do this...hmmmm.

5. The guy I remember coming forward was
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 03:18 PM by Lefty_the_Right
John "Bill" Calhoun

But he was thoroughly dicredited, because even Bush didn't say he was in Alabama the dates that Calhoun said he was.

<edit>
Here it is.
"However, Calhoun recalled Bush in the unit in the summer of 1972 when the documents indicate that he had not yet applied to serve there."
