The unstated reasons why the Republicans support Bush at any cost:
1.We, White Christians, founded this country and are going to take it back from the N--ers, Jews, Hispanics and other minorities. The Democrats and Liberals are nothing but N---er Lovers.
2.We do not owe anything truthful to these low lifes.President Bush
is entitled to lie to these low lifes. They are not true Americans.
3.President Bush will kick the asses of the Arabs and Muslims who
use "terror" to kill us.He will seize their oil and colonize their
country.
4.President Bush will restore the rightful place of Christianity as
the religion of true Americans.

5.We will not be sidetracked by issues such as civil rights, due
processes and Congressional authority. We believe in President Bush
and he will restore what America should be all about.

1. Tax cuts
Republicans hate taxes. That's the whole point of being in the party. Money.

9. Money is the motivator of the rich corporate types. But for the
average white Joe Wannabe, the motivating factor is to feel important by kicking some uppity N---- ers and what have you.

10. Not all
I know a couple, middle-class, who have spent their way into near bankruptcy that cry over every penny they pay in taxes. Nevermind the small fortune they have squandered on useless crap.

I have never understood folks who have such a great love of filthy lucre. Especially those claiming to be "Christians".

13. I have seen people who blow money at gambling and then bitterly
complain about the taxes.Once again, it is ingrained in these people that their taxes are being used on undeserving and lazy n-----ers and so the anger is that much greater.

2. Fly the Stars and Bars
and not Old Glory, because that is exactly where these creeps are coming from-the Old Confederacy, where a small white elite ran everything and kept down the poorer whites by discouraging education and using racism and religion as tools. Only difference between then and now is that at least some of the rich whites actually served in the Confederate army-but then, many didn't. There was an exception to the almost universal draft-you didn't have to go if you had more than 20 slaves.

3. In reading Joe Conason's book,

"The Hunting of the President," it was clear that those types of beliefs were held, and stated quite clearly many times, by most of the pukes attacking Clinton.

4. Watch Washington Journal Some Morning
It's actually stated loudly and clearly, by the GOP braintrusts that call up. You can actually see the paid GOP smokescreeners wince when one of their loony constituents call up and start ranting about how we "have to get that oil," or that all Muslims want to kill us, or that God elected President Bush.

5. These are Bush's Core Voters
but I wouldn't classify ALL the Republicans as those types. I'm sure there are lots of them that are being fooled by the media smoke screen and Bush's tactics of hiding his true agenda. Some certainly want to BELIEVE that their leader is an honest, fearless, protector of their country so badly that they will accept whatever the GOP presents as the truth.

8. The ones that do not toe the line seem to be off the screen like======
Snowe. They use McCain which really makes me wonder about him. He seems to be having a battle with him self all the time. Ever read his book? It is like he is always fighting him self. Interesting as we all seem to like him. It is like we see the battle his mind is going through. Shall I do the right thing or stick with my party. Jeffers of Vt. had more balls.Snowe is just who she is. I think she patterns herself after Margaret Chase Smith. Collins usually sits in Bush's pocket.

11. My father was a Republican and he believed-------
Every one having a good job made a better country, Education counted, and a society based on war would never work, and taxes should be lower but he lived in a time when he was taxed in a well over 50% rate. And of course that church and state should be far apart. When I grew up all that meant you were a Republican. I do not understand the party at all now.

12. You are right. The Party is now a haven for fanaticism. This is why
I think nothing will have an impact on these people. No amount of reason will sway them from their self appointed dreams of superiority. They believe in the world domination idea spouted by the PNAC crowd. To them, the N---ers at home and the Sand N---ers abroad meet in one seamless landscape.

Bush (or more precisely, Rove) has tapped into this motherlode of hatred. So, no matter what dastardly deed in Bush's past is discovered, it does not sway these fanatics.

We have entered the Dark Ages again, folks.

14. The Paradox Of Powerlessness
The white males, who still effectively control the commerce, government and media of this country, see themselves as being constantly threatened by anyone who is not a white male. They live in constant fear of The Others.

From a very young age, the white males are taught (implicitly and explicitly) that kicking some dark-skinned ass is the way to remedy all ills and, moreover, the duty of every white "Christian" male. "Kill the ragheads" is the young white male mantra against all Evils.

As a voting bloc, the white males are as unified as any bunch of Nazis you could find in Germany: Amerika uber alles. Yet the poor ones willingly march into the jaws of a machine that profits by keeping them poor! They drive around in their shabby pickup trucks, listening to rich old white men on their radios who tell them how endangered they are. And they embrace the very thing that endangers them the most: the greed and manipulation of the Rich Old White Men.

Truly, they are sheep. And their wool is dazzingly white. The shears hum away as they line up so willingly...

25. The poor, white Repukes are MISERABLE, SPITEFUL LOSERS
Edited on Wed Sep-15-04 12:54 PM by fed2dneck
As Fast Eddie told his old backer in The Hustler: "You're a loser because you're dead inside, and you can't live unless you make everybody else dead around you."

This line seems to apply to the powerless white males who support Bush not in spite of, but because he's extremely dangerous; in other words, they're spiteful losers. And we're not pointing out the spite factor, which motivates them to bring as many people down with them becuase they themselves are miserable.

I'm talking about those who support Bush at all costs, even at their own expense, not all poor whites

15. After I posted this, it occurred to me that even if the WTC disaster
was connected to Bush in some way, either LIHOP or MIHOP, it would not have any impact on his popularity.Because it would be rationalized as a necessary price we have to pay to keep the Arabs/Muslims in line and that Bush took a great personal risk as a leader to put this in place. So, Rove knows that he has a stacked deck of true believers willing to fall of the cliff for their Great leader
and he can confidently attack Kerry at his weak spots. Thus are great movements born.

19. Hitler comparison doesn't work.
Hitler actually elevated Germany's economy. He made almost all of the German people feel good about themselves. After the bitter defeat and undcondtional surrend imposed on Germany after WW1 the German people had lost a lot of their nationalistic pride. Hitler brought that pride back. He was an inspiring public speaker. He united the Germans in a cause.

No, I am not a Hitler apologist or fan.

Some of the events of this Neo Fascist Admin. may have similarties to Nazi Germany circ. 1930's but GW Bush cannot be compared to Hitler.

didn't he? Send an untold number of them to kill and to die, and caused pain and suffering to it's citizens, didn't he?

17. I agree. There is a hard core Republican base thats probably at least
40% of the population that is racist, gay hating, macho, red-neck, Christo-Facist, anti-woman's rights type of voter. These folks will NEVER be persuaded to vote democratic or for any type of progressive platform. These folks want a class based, male dominated society like the old south was before the civil war. This mind set appeals to many working class folks across the country these days, not just in the south anymore.

20. In addition to the gradual erosion of their total power since the 60's
the white base feels set upon by the rise of China, Japan, India and other Asian countries economically and militarily. This is why the PNAC
belief in restoring American World Domination appeals to them because they feel it is their destiny to be No.1. As to why many white males who are poor, uneduacted and barely making a living in Bush's America still support him, I attribute it to their belief that Bush will restore the days of white skin privilege. Something worth thinking about when we want to compare the 1930's in Germany with our current situation.
