3. It's funny, Bill is putting Jon at the end to try and get "us" to watch

his show, but either (a) most of us watch anyway, just so we can make fun of him with some authority, or (b) we are just blipping over there for a few seconds at a time to see if Jon is on yet.

I thought Jon held his own very well.
I don't like O'Rilley referring to TDS audience has drunk stoners repeatedly. I thought that was a low blow. Stewart doesn't refer to the Factor's audience in such a crude way.


After Stewart's interview O'Rielly ran an interview with Dan Rather from 2001. He's trying to prove a left wing bias in the network news. He says Rather didn't do investigative stories on Clinton.

Rather denied a left wing Bias and O'Rielly clamied he agrees the bias isn't what some people think..... whatever... the interesting point was a quote from Bill.

He said that he expects his politicians to be honest across the board....
hmmm.... I guess his standards must have changed because it's very clear that GWB hasn't been honest across the board.

Jon Stewart handled it beautifully, of course, and refused to be baited by O'Really, which of course infuriated the elderly alcoholic. Jon's demeaner made it perfectly clear that he didn't take O'Really or his little show at all seriously. No amount of editing could have made Stewart look bad, or O'Really look competent.

Jon isn't about self-engrandizement. He isn't the story, he is just a messenger. He has no reason to fuel vendettas. The reason he is able to get who he gets on his show is because he in genuine. If anyone can sit in the same room as Bill and put up with all that BS, call him on the BS, and still walk away on amicable terms, it is Jon.
