Man, Michelle Malkin really is insane.
She is on CSPAN explaining how the internment camps were great for America. Damn good thing today's boogie-men don't look like her, huh?

What they need to do is round up all the blond white guys that look like Tim McViegh to keep us all safe. People who look like him were responsible for the second worst terrorist attack in American history.

She just ignores the fact that the Japanese-American property was stolen during the internment, now why would that be?

15. she's filipino
after her appearance on hardball, i saw someone on here mention that many filipinos (in america or in the phillipines) still hold large grudges against the japanese for what happened before and during world war II. the japanese were pretty brutal, and a lot of hostilities are left over, from what i've heard. her parents emigrated to america, so they were probably, at least children during the war, and they definitely have relatives who were.

Right now they are asking her questions people submitted on notecards. One of the questions was that if America were at war with the Philippines would all people of filipino decent be interned?

She responded with something about short filipino women flying airplanes into buildings and then said something like "Get real people!"

Sweet.

Internment of Japanese would be ridiculous at this point.

She is advocating the internment of ( insert enemy here ) to attempt to get us used to the concept.

Muslims, liberals, greens, enviro-activists..... She is implying that they are the new Japanese, and internment (concentration camps) is acceptable.

She is advocating the internment of ( insert enemy here ) to attempt to get us used to the concept.

There was a thread a couple of days ago talking about this very possibility. It boggles the mind. Not that many years ago the camps were a "sordid" part of our past. Apologies and some reparations were made (Civil Liberties Act of 1988.)

49. She is absolutely promoting
an agenda of hatred and fear. Muslims are the new "savage Indians" that are the enemy of civilization. We will only be safe if we kill their leaders, and herd them on to reservations. They aren't like us. And, again, we see other vestiges of these same archetypes that lead Americans to believe it is not only okay, but necessary, to hate and despise Islamic peoples: Pat Robertson's, "Adolf Hitler is bad, but what what the Muslims do to the Jews is worse."(Washington Post; 11-30-2002; pg 4); Jerry Falwell's calling the Phrophet a "terrorist," (ibid); Jimmiy Swaggart's statement that "God blesses those who bless Israel and damns those who damn it,"(Imperial Hubris; Anonymous; pg3); and the Rev. Franklin Graham's calling Islam a "wicked religion" that is as different from Christianity as "lightness and darkness" (ibid) indicate that a large, unconscious movement is being taken in the direction that Malkin proposes. And we will only be able to stop that by consciously taking steps to disavow hatred and fear in this country.

50. When she identifies J Edgar Hoover's
most extreme behaviors as "honorable" -- and she has! -- then there is no doubt what goals she is promoting for our society. I agree fully with your identifying these others, and would include Sean Hannity and others. Many of them are more forceful advocates of hatred than Michelle, yet in surprising ways, she is more dangerous than the others.

One of the things about our reaction to her, as a female with histrionic tendencies, is that we must be careful not to focus on her personality. If you compare what occures when most democrats react to her (their voice rises, their lip curls, and they have difficulty not focusing on how repulsive she is), with what Chris Matthews did (he focused entirely on her lies, and avoided her attempts to distract the debate with her making faces and being shrill) you see the model of how to expose her evil agenda.

There is always good money to be made if you are right-wing and a minority at the same time. Repugs will love you if you sell their crap and if you do not look like them. They do a good job in convincing a lot of people to vote against their own class and ethnic interests. There used to be a born-again $%^&!@$ named Dinesh De Souza (still around I guess) who made a career out of defending colonial and imperial aggression. His specialty was defending British colonization of India. He was of Indian descent and that apparently made his infantile arguments credible. Old tricks..

It is almost like an addiction to these wacko's. They have always been around, they use their looks, charm(?) and flitations much like a prositute to control powerful men to get what they want. She apparently has used the progress and methods of Anne Coulter, Laura Ingram, etc., etc., to obtain power among the Neocons. The only thing is, she fails to realize that Ann Coulter and Laura Ingram have burned themselves out with their vitriol and constant hemmoraging on the talk circuit and bad bad books. She really can be considered a Johnny come lately.

39. Does she believe that Saudis should be detained?
By her logic, since 15 of the hijackers were Saudis, then they should be the first in line to be interred. She also should be railing about letting the bin Laden relatives out of the country after 9/11. I wonder how the Saudis would react if the US started to round up all of the Saudis in the US in internment camps.

58. If not for the black plague, the world would be over populated, thus
causing more wars and famine. So when one speaks of the plague as a tragedy, they must therefor be in support of famine and war.

65. Like the Nazis, the people that drive the Bushevik dialogue are cruel
and often borderline insane, or just outright insane, like monstrous Ann Coulter or Lil' Michelle.

66. listening to MM is like hearing Alan Keyes on affirmative action
the reason the hypocrisy is so largesse is that they fail to realize that they are indebted to those who came before them.

honestly, would anybody be listening to michelle if she were a white male? Of course not. Her work would be villified as the hate-manual that it is.

Wouldn't be surprised if she guest-stars at the RNC next go-around.

67. She should spend a day at the Japanese American National Museum...
In Los Angeles. They have a re-assembled, actual barracks that will make the flintiest heart weep with shame, and an astonishing scale model of Manzanar, that really shows how remote and ostracised an entire segment of American society really was. There are dozens of handwritten letters from the camps to further document the experience.

The brat Malkin is **thoroughly** ignorant, and frankly somewhat insane, to even mention this kind of unspeakable, shameful action as a possibility.

And the right wing call themselves patriots? How "American" is the concept of the internment camp in this day and age?

If I were to see her in the street, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from slapping her in the face.

She's a horrrible person.
