Media questioning why the White House didn't question the documents before

7. They've got to suspect that the documents were

part of a Bush campaign attempt to neuter the Vietnam issue. It's right in line with Rove's pattern, and it served the same purpose as the Swift Boat Vets.

You can swallow everything or you get hooked.

All campaigns know that keeping the other side off-message protects their candidate(s).

If you get desperate, or just plain bored, you throw the other side bait to chew on you do it, if you are a really clever prankster you put a hook in it...

Think about this, just as we sensed a shift in the media, Rove or others like him, have managed to embarrass CBS. This will protect the resident from further media scrutiny because now every network will shy away in fear of being made to look foolish.

10. I'm wondering if the WH knew about Miss Knox?

Perhaps they miscalculated slightly if they thought the story was only about Barnes and the docs. It would have been a nightmare for Rove is Miss Knox had shown up with her own typed documents in tow. Oh well, one can dream, can't one?

If they question the documents veracity and later the original documents show up it could prove to be an even bigger embarrassment.
