But, the good ones always admit it and work to get the correction out before the public in a timely manner. Rather did just that. Now, Rather needs to get back on the Bush, the deserter story- since that was the real story from the beginning.

1. this whole story is a planned "distraction" from rove... do you see Faux

having to investigate ANY of the 100 mistakes they make everyday.

DO they go back and correct...hell no.

Does Insannity go back and admit a mistake...hell no.

Do the media networks in general look back at their Iraq pre-war coverage..hell no..they were for the war and no questions.


It's all bullshit. Our media is gone.

2. Faux is always wrong.

Fox News isn't held up to these kinda of standards, a quick trip to www.mediamatters.org will show you the falsehoods they spin everyday.

I think Rather by apologizing is done with the matter, the story isn't broken, but some documents were wrong, get over it, the NYT, the Boston Globe the Washington Post, the L.A. Times and Salon.com all continued on the story using the evidence that CBS uncovered.

The facts are still correct even if the documents were false, they didn't prove or disprove any part of the story, except to make the whole thing much more interesting for all ;)
