Goss is likely to be confirmed CIA chief
-----------------------------------

** Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee are expected to vote against Goss, but the appointment is expected to easily pass in the Senate.

1. I've watched most of the hearings.
Goss has slimed his way past virtually all questions of substance, yet the dems still profess such love for him and support him. Go figure.

4. Kerry can dump him, if he wants....
However, if he has to live with a Repug-controlled Senate, he may have to keep him for a while. After all, Bush thought Tenet was okay. For awhile.

5. Very likely.

the event that he makes some huge, long term mistakes, he could be dumped. Given the current love-fest and the penchant of the democrats for avoiding a thorough house cleaning, he's probably there for life. He has been a virulent anti-progressive and has embodied some of the worst thuggian ideals, yet now claims to be able to shrug off his spots and be "non-partisan":puke:

edit: need lockout type keyboard.

6. Yeah. He endorsed Goss even before he was selected.
Just don't understand politicoes; they are a totally different breed of cat, apparently. Wouldn't want one living in the neighborhood...
