"Should Dan Rather step down?" .......poll in my local newspaper.

Dan could probably use a little DU help in this one. It's about halfway down the page toward the right side. You can see when you click "previous polls" that anything involving Smirky or anything dear to the hearts of repukers that the vote tally is higher than normal and favoring their side. This leads me to believe the freeper types are overloading the poll. Just read some of the absurd comments in favor of Cheney's Monkey in some of them and you'll see what I mean.

Seems to me if Boosh can allegedly get bad info/intel several times and get away with it the same standard can be applied to Rather.

God, I can't believe this. The media pirrhana are really stirring the blood in the water. They are doing their very best villanous attack job of totally discrediting that god-awful "librul" media. Ack! (sarcasm off).

8. Hey, my parents live in Lakeland.
I recently saw an LTTE from an old classmate who has gone over to the darkside. :-(

When visiting I sometimes get a kick out of some of the phone responses.

:hi:

The entire staff of the New York Times should step down for erroneously reporting on Whitewater.

And the entire staff of the Washington Post should resign for erroneously reporting that Al Gore claimed to have created the internet.

And the entire staff of CNN should resign for failing to ask hard questions of the Bush Administration befor the Iraq War.

And the entire staff of the Wall Street Journal should step down -- just because they're a bunch of right-wing assholes.

And the entire staff of Fox News should resign because, hell, if the Wall Street Journal has to resign, then these guys should be forced to commit ritual suicide.

15. Even now. here's the key to this:
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/09/16/tsurumi/in...

Students who challenged and embarrassed Bush in class would then become the subject of a whispering campaign by him, Tsurumi said. "In class, he couldn't challenge them. But after class, he sometimes came up to me in the hallway and started bad-mouthing those students who had challenged him. He would complain that someone was drinking too much. It was innuendo and lies. So that's how I knew, behind his smile and his smirk, that he was a very insecure, cunning and vengeful guy."

France, Rather, McCain experienced this
