Getting Bush Air National Guard Records

Can't people who want to be able to review all of Bush's military records do a freedom of information act request from the Air Force? Even if Bush has some of his records distroyed wouldn't the Air Force have a copy of Bush's records?

1. A judge has given the Pentagon a deadline to produce all the Shrub's

military documents. I think Monday is the deadline.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge has ordered the Pentagon to find and make public by next week any unreleased files about President Bush's Vietnam-era Air National Guard service to resolve a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by The Associated Press.
U.S. District Judge Harold Baer Jr. handed down the order late Wednesday in New York. The AP lawsuit already has led to the disclosure of previously unreleased flight logs from Bush's days piloting F-102A fighters and other jets.

Pentagon officials told Baer they plan to have their search complete by Monday. Baer ordered the Pentagon to hand over the records to the AP by Sept. 24 and provide a written statement by Sept. 29 detailing the search for more records.

3. someone should list missing documents that SHOULD be in there

What they are called, what it is for, etc.

I'm sure there would be other "possiblitys" that will be missing. But some things are just standard for everyone and some stuff is standard based upon KNOWN events in his record or claims. THOSE should be listed and made public. let the people see what should be in there.

Saying records are missing, is like saying nothing at all. It's nothing hard to grasp on to and report.

4. The military records of living veterans...

... are restricted to the veteran and his immediate family (and even then, a compelling reason for release to the family is necessary, I believe).

Bush has authorized certain portions of his record to be released, but not all (his complete record, for example, would have the results of medical examinations, fitness tests, AFQT exams, etc.)

As for Denver having a complete set of his records, I'm uncertain about this. What Denver would have would be what was forwarded to them from Austin, or Houston. If only portions of that record were sent to Denver, that would be all that Denver would have.

If Austin did not microfilm Bush's entire record before it was reportedly purged, that local microfilm would not be complete, either.

5. Guys! What part of DESTROYED don't you UNDERSTAND?!!

Many years ago, my father, in a drunken binge with his brother, burned and sold *all* the family records and possessions. I've been able to "recreate" some, through public records, but pitifully few and NONE of the photographs.

Peopel who go through fires, floods, etc know what "gone" means. "Gone" is forever.

And that's just by *accident*! Tush Sr had the fucking *CIA* go through this shit and destroy, remove, cancel, obliterate, alter, falsify and mangle Junior's files!

The ONLY hope we have is eye witnesses coming forward and they don't DARE.
