Ahmad Shah Masood, and his mysterious death days before 9/11
Masood was the Northern Alliance leader, and he was killed days before 9/11.

If we all remember, this was the man Rumsfeld mistakenly said Saddam Hussein ordered his death. (He actually meant Osama)

The thing they don't tell us about Masood is that he was the Favorite Fighter of a group known as the Comittee for a Free Afghanistan. The CFA was around when the Soviets were trying to attack Afghanistan.

The CFA had people connected to it such as Pat Robertson and Paul Weyrich.

Imagine if 9/11 happened and Masood was still alive, what would he be saying about the CFA?

It might be just me, but I have a strange feeling that the people who were in the CFA may have had a hand in Masood's death. And if they are connected to his death, would that mean that they have had a role in the 9/11 attacks?

1. Something I'd heard about Masood...
I heard that he was one of the holdouts regarding getting a pipeline built across Afghanistan. Supposedly, he had a reputation for not wanting to work with the West (aka CIA) during the occupation by the Soviets, and had vowed that no pipelines were going to be built across Afghanistan without major concessions.

In other words, he had a reputation from way back as 'difficult to work with' -- at least as far as Western intelligence agencies were concerned.

3. AQ whacked him
To solidify AQ's position within Afghanistan. It was 2 AQ guys with phony al-Jazeera press credentials and a bomb in their videocamera.

Maybe BushCo didn't want him around, but Osama didn't want him around either.

I'm not convinced that Bush had enough guys on the ground to whack General Massood - since they were not even really watching OBL at the time.

4. he was murdered because he was a threat to the taliban & al quida
by 2001, the NA was the only adversary the taliban had and they could not defeat him and his fighters. masood was an afghani patriot who wanted no foreigners in control of his country. the day i heard of the assassination attempt, i thought something was about to happen. that was friday, 9/7/01. i remember it because it was on NPR and i was stuck in traffic for an hour with my car engine off. i have followed with interest masood's career from the '80s on and knew he was the only chance for beating the taliban without an american invasion. even though he came from a minority tribe he was willing to share power and that made him unique in the region.

as for the original post, ck4829, unless you can produce at least some substantial evidence i think it your remarks are compete fucking bullshit.
