Let's tell the media they are endangered - Email them about FOX Blocker
Many thanks to Catwoman for posting about this great little filter for your TV.
Catwoman's thread on the FOX Blocker

Here is the FOX Blocker link:
http://rupert.foxblocker.com/?area=1

It is a filter you put on the back of the tellie and it blocks FAUX! And they will send emails to FOX sponsors informing them that yet another consumer has chosen to say no to FOX.

So, besides putting this on our list of swell stocking stuffers for Christmas gifts, let's really put this to some good use:

I am emailing info and the link to this wonderful little filter to MSNBC, CNN and any other cable propaganda station passing itself off as a news source. Gonna tell them since the tech for this inexpensive filter is out there, it is just a matter of time until they too find themselves filtered out of millions of homes where Americans are sick and tired of the whoring

So, kick it around in your head. Think of some choice words for the media, then put it in writing along with news of the FOX Blocker. Tell them, straight up, that they are about to become irrelevant in America unless they start presenting news instead of 24/7 spin.

The far right has used boycott threats successfully for decades. Time to let sponsors know we are not listening. Time to let the cable networks know we are sending messages to their sponsors.

1. HUH?
Maybe its just me but I think this is a scam, a rip off...a way to capitalize on the half of the country that doesn't care for Fox. If you don't like em don't watch em - email your cable company and sponsors for FREE.

3. agreed...
this sounds like a rip-off of the first order. I can very easily block out any channel I want without the aide of a device that adds more cost to my life...most TV's these days have the ability built in to block a channel or at least skip it when browsing...

4. Many of us have, but remember, lots of folks read DU
but are not really active about writing and emailing. This is a quick, easy way to do it.

Also, check the site. They have links to other progressive sites, so it helps get more exposure for those sites. And we can keep an eye on the promoter to make sure they follow through with giving part of the profits to progressive organizations.

Besides, it is fun and funny. This needs to get out there among all those emails people send people. It is a gimmick, yes, but a useful and effective one. Better than the pet rock Americans bought up by the thousands.

It helps reach a segment of the population that may not be especially assertive about voicing their views. We need for media to realize the vocal far right is not the voice of most Americans. Any tool, method, gimmick or marketing plan that works to that end is helpful IMHO.
