9. He went because it was a paying job ...
if he could find one at home ... would he have gone? Hmmm... I don't really get the tone of your post.

15. EXACTLY, that's the point Pitt, because there are not good paying
jobs here, so in order to keep your family afloat, you now have to go to Iraq and risk being killed. You got the tone of my post perfectly!

28. That wasn't for you, Catfight, that was for nostamj ...
just because I was picking up a "he went to rake in the dough" vibe vs. what I understood to be a "he went because he didn't have a choice". That's all. Maybe I took it the wrong way, maybe not.

6. Why is negotiating with terrorists inappropriate?
Their sole request was that FEMALE inmates be released from the American run prisons. If that the case the U.S. threw away the possibility to save the lives of three civilians. I don't see how the demands of this current hostage situation affects the future independent consideration and resolution of hostage negotiations.

8. If it was Barbara or Jenna Bush
you bet your sweet ass we would be negotiating with terrorists. It depends on who you are and what your name is.

11. It was so damn sad seeing the first hostage weeping in the video
when I saw it this morning. Damn, when will this madness stop? Day by day we're all (Americans, Iraqis) killing off just a little bit more of our humanity every day. :evilfrown:

14. I wish Bush had to watch their beheadings.
He's responsible. If he hadn't invaded that country, NONE of those people would be over there. SOB...he needs to SEE what he has done! He needs to watch those videos. :grr:

29. Yep, ,the press has been camped out at his metro Atlanta home
like damn vultures. I feel so sorry for his wife and family. They were on the local news yesterday asking the press to please give the family their privacy. Everyone knew this was inevitable, because no way shrub would actually admit there were women in Abu Ghraib, much less let any of them go. Never mind there's photgraphic evidence that women are in that prison. The administration's line is that they let all the women go already - yeah right.
