WTF?? BUSH PEOPLE AT MY PA COLLEGE CAMPUS!!
Okay I am soooooo fucking furious I could eat a Republican.

I went to my Student Affairs supervisor TWO WEEKS ago asking if I could do a pro-Kerry Voter Reg table at lunch near the caf. He said no that wouldn't be allowed, students can only so "non-partisan" tables.

Fine. Today, I get a call from a friend telling me there are Bush signs EVERYWHERE over the caf because there's pro-Bushie students registering students in droves (next a lifesize Dumbya I might add).

WHAT THE FUCK. Those assholes are there now spreading lies about Kerry and registering students. I am so ticked off. What the hell do I do (aside from bitch to the Student Affairs guy?) I was planning to go door-to-door on the dorms this week, but apparently the Bushies have already registered tons.

WTF do I do now?!

2. Call the local chapter of the ACLU.
Set up a table right next to them with Kerry answer sheets.

If the administration comes over and tells you to leave, say you won't move until the Bush people leave. Do you remember the name of the person you talked to at the office?

You need to let the Chancellor of the Unviersity know about this, toute d'suite. Make an appointment. If he is sympathetic to the Bushies cause and won't give you equal time, say you're going to the media and you'll yell your ass off.

That ought to put the fear of God into them.

Caution: If you're on scholarship or loans that they could call in, make sure you talk to a lawyer (specially ACLU) so your ass is covered.

4. You should tell this story to your student newspaper.
Let other people on your campus know about the situation.

6. Just because someone registers to vote at a
pro-Bushie event doesn't mean they have to vote for him. My personal belief is that if someone has to go to a political event before they even register to vote, they're not so set in there ways that a persuasive argument can make them change their minds as to who to vote for. The repukes have helped you out by getting these people to register, now you just have to convert them. You can argue all you want with the school and adviser over the hypocracy, but you might want to save that fight for after the election, it sounds like you have more important work to do before then.

8. Can you stick up a bunch of draft posters?
Equating that voting for Bush may be a vote for the draft. And no student or "my daddy" deferments this time! Women may be eligible too!

Hope that would get them thinking.
