For those DUers who have not known Kerry until prior to the Presidential race, let me give you an observation. It has been said many time by those who know him that Kerry is at his best when his back is against a wall. Suffice it to say, it looks as if Kerry's back may be at this wall. I grew up in Massachusetts. I recall vividly the campaigns of Kerry Vs. Weld. There was a point in the race when it looked as if Weld just may have taken it. Weld, a good guy, more of the 'Old School' conservatives. Surprisingly 'green' for a republican.
In the last debate, I believe there were three, Kerry pulled it out his hat and won the election. I will give a kudos to Bill Weld he fought the good fight without resorting to dirty tricks. The debates held were of high quality that is not seen these days. I am posting this just to tell fellow DUers to stop hand wringing and be optimistic.

Those of us from Boston have a 'unique' perspective with that quote. (Thanks Bill Buckner!)
