Christ, people...I can't believe we're even discussing the possibility of these fake, planted docs being anything but revenge from the Bush Crime Family. Rather not only helped bring down Nixon, setting up years of embarrassment for the entire GOP, but he humiliated GHWB, to boot.

These people are thugs. They play hardball. Dan had his coming to him. The way I hear it, Burkett claimed his source was pretty high up somewhere, to the point where Dan thought it was pretty solid. Why, I can't tell you. Who cares. The point is, this was a set up all along. Rather and CBS were not towing the GOP party line. I actually started watching CBS News again after the GOP forced the network to pull the Reagan soap opera movie...that is when CBS started getting tough, and the "fuck you" attitude was evident immediately. He obviously couldn't be counted on to play along with the poll scams and the media plants for another six weeks.

He had to be taken out. It was inevitable. Poppy Bush, CIA Boss, The Kennebunkport Don, wouldn't let him now fuck over his little retard spawn.

Paybacks are hell...and hell hath no fury like a Bush scorned.

these RWings have the perfect symbol in the elephant (the animal that has a long memory) they never forget and they carry a grudge forever. My local paper had a story (also carried by AP written by David Bauder) just today on this and how the RW has had had it in for Dan Rather since Watergate and are finally getting their revenge. Frankly I wish the Democrats would remember and carry a grudge like the repukes do, if they did we would be way ahead and assured of victory for what happened in the 2000 Selection.

3. I know it's crazy, but I wonder if the name thrown out is Rove but

CBS want's to divert attention while they are actually gathering evidence that Rove (or someone associated) was the one. I know, it's a really insane fantasy, but this story is going nowhere otherwise.
