New to Florida - two items
For 23 and a half years I lived in Northern Virginia and just recently got the bright idea to move to the Sunshine State - so on Sunday August 29th I arrived in FL - on August 31st my furniture arrived from Virginia and on September 2nd I evacuated to GA because of Frances - welcome to FL!

So here are my two items for you:

Just was checking on the web for voter registration info and guess who manufactures the voting machines here in Brevard County - yes my friends - none other than Diebold with a Texas certification address. So that does it I'm voting absentee

Second any DUers out there live in or near Merritt Island? Don't want to think I'm completely alone here. Well I don't feel completely alone because the day I came to do my walk through on my new house - one of my neighbors had a car in their driveway with a car cover on it with NO MORE BUSH written across the bumper - thought it was a sign....keep waiting for them to be in the yard as I go by one day so I can introduce myself.

So Florida DUers and advice, suggestions or info would be very welcome and appreciated....THANKS

2. Unfortunately voting by absentee ballot doesn't mean you voted if your a
Democrat. In 2000 the repubs told all the repus to vote absentee if they could. That's illegal. A lot of the votes had mistakes on them and if they do they're suppose to not be counted. Well, the repubs fixed the repub ballots but not the Democrat ones.
