Freeper hijacks thread... results are ugly...

So, I started a thread that was supposed to be all about happiness and prosperity, and then a Freep nogoodnick came around and pissed all over it.

Now it's just a big, fat argument. It was supposed to be a little more cheerful than BushCo propaganda and pictures of kids with no arms.

Could we all just let the Freep lurkers (although this dude isn't really a lurker, more like a provacateur) fade away? I know we all want to debate, but seriously, don't let them ruin things for us. Don't feed the trolls.

This is funny stuff. The way the thread progressed is entertaining reading, and a study for all of us who start threads here. When Clinton was in office the best way to freak a freeper out was to joke about a Monica-Clinton-Newt love triangle. Republicans hardly laugh, they only have fun thinking about dark ironies and others pain..never about their own broken promises and mistakes.

Would Bush have invade Iraq if there no oil there and military bases to be built to invade other oil rich country?

Its funny to see them just spew out talking point after talking point, lie after lie, and sometimes it actually looks like a coherent argument.

Too bad he can't apply some logic to all that commentary, and actually THINK about what he is saying.

Usually I get bored when I read either the fifth lie or refuted talking point, or when I read a lie that is repeated more than twice.

This guy had both.

Sure, it wasn't the back-slapping fun fest you hoped for, but I saw NOTHING BUT UNITY against the freepster. His messages were already deleted, but they must've been pretty outrageous. What was ruined? nobody seemed despondent to me, looked like good fun all around. Normally, people are much more reserved and reluctant to accuse freeps of being freeps. That guy must've been pathetically obvious.

Anyway, you can always start a new thread with a slightly different theme. They don't always get hijacked you know. Most of mine just die a quick, silent death.

As for the kid with no arms, you know that's little Ali Abbas, who was horribly burned by Bush's playing with explosives in "Shock & Awe".

Because of Bush's greed, impatience and stupidity, little Ali lost his arms, as well as his whole family, but he got a lot of attention and help from around the world. There's a site that keeps up with his progress.
