The airlines are being ordered to turn over your records.

Aren't we proud of our government for detaining Terrorist Cat Stevens? He's supposed to be deported tomorrow.

1. Where did you get the info re: June passenger lists?

Seems bizarre -- is there a link???

P. S. The former Cat Stevens could be a bad dude -- just because he sang some nice songs thirty years ago doesn't mean he was a nice guy then or now.

8. That really takes the cake. He should have walked in from Mexico.
But don't you feel good to know you are safe from this singer? I am willing to bet he is 70 years old any how. His big fault is he did something good with his money.

5. Do you have any links?
I'm curious why June was selected. Of course, I've protested the war, I'm a member here, I've sent lots of letters to various politicians (including Dubya) about liberal causes, I contribute to the Kerry campaign, etc. So I'm guessing I was already on a watch list before I flew to Cali in June.

6. For those requesting links............
Airlines ordered to turn over passenger info

LEE COUNTY Tuesday the Transportation Security Administration ordered airlines to turn over passenger information including: Name, flight number, credit card number and address. It's a test of a new security system to prevent terrorism. Passengers had mixed reactions to about the information to be turned over.

"I don't have a problem with it. I think anything they can do to protect us is fine by me," said passenger George Brown.

"I think they should find other ways of finding who the bad guys are. Not bothering the good guys," said passenger Maryann Boragine.

The Transportation Security Administration ordered domestic airlines to turn over personal information about passengers from the month of June. Some of the information is benign like your name and flight number. But depending on the airline, the records could include credit card numbers and addresses. Those are the details that concerned most passengers.

"I think it would make me more nervous to travel," said passenger Beth Ann Gehl.

10. Dear Gawd! My 73 year old mother is a terrorist!
Of course, since she is a member of NEA, we already knew that.
