I mean they provided all the documents.

They gave full unfettered access to Blix et al.

The said there were no WMDs & there were none.

Ummm, sounds to me pretty much like they complied with UN resolution 1441.

2. They didn't --according to Bush (Bizarro) Logic...
The Bush junta KNEW there were great stores of weapons which Saddam Hussein refused to reveal. Therefore Saddam did not comply. So the junta had to invade. The fact that there were no weapons no longer matters because Saddam was a "bad man." Now, that makes sense, doesn't it?

3. Technically No
Documents were not complete. There is considerable inventory unaccounted for in their documentation. Could be destroyed without proper documentation, destroyed by 1998 Coalition Airstrikes, or although unlikly still hidden somewhere.

Posturing. Saddam always had to posture himself as opposing the UN inspectors. Probably due to both principal and to needing to convince his neighbors that he still possesed banned weapons.

Be carful with statements of No weapons. It's clear he had significant weapons in 1991. What happened to them since then is the point in contention.

But then, so was the Shah of Iran.
so is Musharraf.
so is Pinochet.
so is Sharon.
so is.... and on and on and on.

Americans are warlike people;they need wars to keep their blood pumping, so says Chairman Ledeen.Way to go Ledeen!See you in Iraq!

6. in 522 out of 527 inspections Iraq was in perfect compliance

Those 5 cases where Iraq was not in perfect compliance were minor things, such as Iraq protesting the fact that at some point inspectors wanted to question high school students (Iraqi officials figured there might be a point to questioning university students, but not high school students).
