While The Mediots Pontificate About Rather's Future, Jeanne Is About To
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 07:19 AM by TheWatcher
Remind us.....

NEVER Turn Your Back On Nature.

Check out the Tracking Forcast for this Storm.

It is utterly Bizarre.

If this holds true to form, then Jeanne, sauntering harmlessly to the North this week, takes a 360 Degree Turn and heads for the US.

3. It would appear so.
I have never seen a Hurricane do that.

They are unpredictable, so it's not like something like that is impossible or even improbable, but that is odd.

That mystified me when I saw that.

There is one word for a Storm that acts like that.

Creepy.

10. IIRC, Hazel did that in '54 and kicked serious ass
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 09:14 AM by comsymp
Of course it was well before my time

ON EDIT- couldn't find confirmation of Hazel, but Diana did it in '84

5. Check out their map of the Atlantic Basin, enlarge and activate. It
can be found on the main Hurricane page below the alphabetical list of storm names. You can track storms as they form in West Africa. :hi: to another hurricane buff.

9. oh for cryin out loud
Enough with the storms already.

I still have a bone to pick with the Higher Power over some previous storms.

I noticed our so-called holy men are not praying these storms away this year, why is that? Too busy plotting to kill all these gays who want to get married, I presume?

12. it is just really unusual to see one go through this cycle...
and the reason Robertson and Falwell aren't praying them away is because the dismal record from previous years was threatening to undermine their claim of a 'directl line to God'.

7. According to TV news this morning (KHOU Houston)
The remnants of tropical storm Ivan turned south & have made it back to the Gulf of Mexico. It's heading west & will hit the Houston area. We'll probably just get heavy rains, although systems have been known to regain strength while over the Gulf.

I won't worry until Dr. Neil Frank starts looking excited.

11. If it takes a 360 degree turn, won't it be going in the same direction?
Sorry, you left it hanging there...
