F 9/11 DVDs in at Blockbuster
You just can't buy them yet.

I was there last night, and sitting on the counter, fresh outta the box, I see the sides, black with gold or yellow writing. I ask the nice, young woman behind the counter if I could buy one of them now. She asked me if I wanted her to go to jail. Hmmm, sort of extreme, but okay. She then asked if I had seen it, and I said that I had, on opening day. Her faced then lit up and she quietly asked, "wasn't that great, I mean, the way it showed the real Bush and the government and stuff?" I was thrilled, as she couldn't be more than 19 years old, and registered to vote (I asked).

October 5th will be here soon enough, I suppose.

2. I heard at work (wally world) that we got ours.
I tell the people the same thing when they asked me about buying movies before they came out. "Do you want to go to jail or pay my 10g fine I will get?"

3. I work at Blockbuster..........
Sometimes they run deals on popular films where you can prebuy a DVD and they throw in 7 or 10 rentals, it's a good deal. They didn't do this for F9/11. But I already had 3 customers come in and pre buy (reserve it and paid in full) the DVD to make sure they'll get one when it comes out 10/5. One older woman came in and was absolutely adamant that she would be able to have her DVD on the 5th. Said that's all everyone in her group is talking about.

Not sure the CSR would go to jail, but probably lose her job.

8. Thanks for the info
I hadn't priced DVD players in some time. I could better afford one back then but didn't really "need" it. Just have to bring myself to go to Walmart x( Maybe try Target first.

That string of profanities could last for days!

probably their most annoying attribute was driving all the interesting mom and pop stores out of business, that generally had much better selections. Ah well!

10. Isnt there some site that tracks movie rentals?

It would be interesting to watch where F911 fits into the total rental numbers over the next several weeks.
