Ronald Reagan corn maze
Proof the U.S. is the weirdest country on earth.

Also a Campaign 2004 corn maze

Images of President Bush (news - web sites), top, and Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites), make up a corn maze Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The maze will be open to the public on Sept. 24. The labyrinth is eight acres in size and has more than three miles of twists and turns. (AP Photo/Douglas C. Pizac)

1. looks like getting through Bush's head
would be a lot faster than getting through Kerry's. Guess there's not as much going on up there though.

3. Oh, for crying in a bucket! GAg.... when will we be finally done with RR?
If they hadn't included Kerry, I'd say that they were really going for corn.

4. As much as I don't care for Reagan...
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 11:09 AM by JHB
...as art or just "private craziness", mowing his likeness into a field of greens strikes me as pretty harmless.

It's the "Knights of St. Ron" cultists in the D.C. area you have to worry about.

5. It's not "mowed"
Someone planted corn in these patterns and let it grow head-high. Someone spent a ton of time planning these out.

6. it's a good way for small farmers to get extra income
they charge tourists to go through them. Pretty harmless I think.

I would've chosen a better subject to portray, however.

13. ...OR, they planted the field and then cut the pattern out.
Or probably some combination, counting maintenence trimming. That's not the point.

The point is, how the guy arranges his cornfield is his business. If he's going to be a die-hard Reaganite, I'd rather he be doing that than collecting Scaifedollars in some DC propaganda mill sugarcoating Reagan's REAL legacy.

(and if he had a better memory, he'd remember that Reagan's terms weren't exactly the best for small farmers, either.)

14. People who just loooooove "Dutch"...
...usually rearing their heads these days trying to slap his name on everything, and generally eating up RW talking points with a spoon.

8. I'm confused about the Kerry-Edwards maze.
Kerry I get, but is the guy on top supposed to be John Edwards?

'Cause he looks an awful lot like Ted Koppell.

9. President Reagan's image in corn...
...now that's class, folks.

The all green fer the late President was just the right touch--doing it with a field o' multi-colored flowers woulda most ashoredly been a little over the top.

I hope y'all snooty elitistics have learned y'all don't have a monopoly on dignity and taste.

11. OMG! They're here! They've landed!!!
Only aliens could create something like that!

The creators of the lower one are apparently under the impression that this is a normal election or something...
