just keep repeating that as we all march in lockstep, loyalty oaths in hand.

3. But, but, we're Republicans! We love death
and destruction! Why do you hate America?
Oh, you hate us for our freedom- to maim and kill and blow up babies. These pictures should be your pride and joy! Freepers everywhere rejoice because their fearless leader is blowing up dark-skinned babies, and we all know there are too many of them and that Jeebus doesn't love dark babies the way he LOVES white babies!

Bring it on! More death and destruction! AWOL is the Shit, I tell you

( sarcasm off).

4. Has GWB seen just one G** D*** photo of this carnage?
I'd really like to know. What has his visual experience of Iraq been since last March? A trip in the middle of the night to hand out turkey legs doesn't cut it.

I can't stand it.

Where did you get the photographs, you, you LIBERAL!!

Seriously, this is what people need to be seeing instead of the usual tripe in the media. I cannot understand how someone could look at these photos and still be gung-ho about the f**ing war.

I really can't. I want to scream, vomit - pound my fists against the wall, I can't stand it, I can't, I can't, I can't.

Does stuff like this EVER get posted on the GUNG-HO war sites like Freakrepub or Right Nation? Do they see it, do they care, do they think its cool?

It makes me feel overwhelmingly that I do not belong here. This is not my world. That is all I can say.

11. What a stupid argument....
People who die from homicides and car accidents did not die as a direct result of placing their faith in a misguided administration.

17. Only three thousand people died on 9-11.
That's a lot less then die in car accidents. Or from smoking. So it's not really a big deal, when you use your logic.

"Then what say you about those whom would have had their tongues cut out, beaten to death in public or raped in front of their families"

You mean by US troops at Abu Ghraib?

18. WE ARE! Too bad your friends in the GOP killed the assault weapons ban
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 05:56 PM by jackstraw45
Your talking points are PATHETIC Se7en.

We ARE protesting the crime rates in the US by urging the limitation of assault weapons that CAUSE civilians to be KILLED.

WISHING crime lower won't do it.

Practical legislation, like the ASSAULT WEAPONS ban, DID lower crime and now that number of homicides is only going to go UP due to people like YOU.

Hmm.... just realized that since I'm new I can not create threads, only reply to them x(

Welp, this is a relevant thread to what I was going to post so I might as well put it here. If anyone wants to create a new thread with it, feel free:

Wonderfull quotes about todays major issue, not 30 year old issue bickering

Senator Chuck Hagel (R)"It's beyond pitiful, it's beyond embarrassing, it's now in the zone of dangerous,"

Hagel: "Our committee heard blindly optimistic people from the administration prior to the war and people outside the administration -- what I call the 'dancing in the street crowd,' that we just simply will be greeted with open arms,"

Hagel: In his own words, referring to the Pentagon's hand-over of Iraq policy to the State Department when Iraq's sovereignty was formally restored in June. "You have inherited a mess, gentlemen,"

Hagel: "does not add up in my opinion to a pretty picture, to a picture that shows that we're winning. But it does add up to this: an acknowledgment that we are in deep trouble."

Richard Lugar (R) - Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said. "The nonsense of all of that is apparent. The lack of planning is apparent."

Lugar: the bloodshed has exposed as "nonsense" assurances that "blithely optimistic" administration officials gave the committee before last year's invasion that U.S. troops would be welcomed in Iraq and would be there for only a short time.

Lugar: "We have an emergency problem now,"

Lugar: "This is an extraordinary, ineffective administrative procedure. It is exasperating from anybody looking at this from any vantage point,"

Colin Powell: reportedly characterized Cheney, Rumsfeld & Wolfowitz as F$%*ing Crazies when discussing the war.

Joe Biden (D) - Ranking Member on the Foreign Relations Committee : "It's incompetence, from my perspective, looking at this"

National Intelligence Council: top secret report "trend lines that would point to a civil war."

People should be forced to see this shit. Only the blackest heart could look upon those little kids and be happy to see their condition. I don't bust my balls at work so my tax money can finance the maiming and murder of children. I'm sickened and embarassed by our "leadership" and the face we are showing the world.

31. Blackest heart?
Do you fail to comprehend that IS the condition of
the people who support this war?
They feel no empathy or sorrow for these children.
They are immoral and arrogant- completely crippled
by self obsessed ideolgy and ignorance, disconnected
from the suffering of anyone, least of all these children
who live in a country they could not even find on a map.
They are so disconnected from reality that they
do not even feel remorse for their own citizens- the
young who have been sacrificed by our government
by the depleted uranium poisoning which has contaminated
everyone in Iraq.
Yes, truly, they disguise the blackest of hearts under the
wraps of "x-tainity" and "patriotism," to the degree that they
condone the genocide of their neighbors' children.
Jesu wept.

28. Speaking of stock..how much has Halliburton's gone up since
March 2003? My right wing/pro-war landlord (who's supposedly a lesbian - and "gay republicans" sicken me)is retired from Raytheon. I found out (here on DU) that her stock has gone up from around $25 to $36. I couldn't figure out why she was so pro-war and then I put it together. Does anyone have the numbers on the Halliburton stock? Gosh, sure seems like a good story for the media to cover....I don't know how much longer I can take this. If he remains in power it's probably going to be Costa Rica for me. :-(

32. Going to post photos every day from now on I think....
We NEED to see what Bush won't TELL us he's doing in Iraq.

Conditions are getting WORSE by the day.

The SHEEP in this country are going to re-elect these MADMEN if people don't WAKE UP soon.

They view our non-weathly brothers, sisters and children in the military as free firewood in their misguided blaze to forced democracy in the middle east.

30. It is very hard to look at photos like these.
I think we have an obligations as Americans to really look at stuff like this, to really get a feeling for what it is we are doing to average citizens in Iraq.

But actually, these are not as graphic as some I have come across. The other day, I was looking for photos to send to my blind and clueless W.rong supporting friends and in-laws. I stumbled into a site that had pictures so raw, so completely heartbreaking that I ended up on the floor of my office in a fetal position sobbing uncontrollably.

No WMD, no al-qaeda link. We should not be doing these things. And we should hold the man accountable who did.

33. You can tell from their faces these people are good, and kind.
They care a good deal about their fallen neighbors. They are so attentive, so careful, and you can see their grief a mile away.

How can a man live with the knowledge he has caused this suffering?

Don't think it bothers him a bit. Not one bit. Sick, sick bastard. I'd like to see him have to stand with the doctors trying to repair these broken bodies, and explain to the victems why he did it.

Republican reaction to F9/11: Michael Moore inaccurately portrayed Iraqis as people playfully flying a kite. We all know it's HORRIBLE over there...Saddam goes around BURNING little kids' kites!

Republican reaction to these pictures: These injuries were all the result of horrible kite-flying accidents. Other than these, everything is beeeeeee-utiful!

41. Come now!
These are but images of the Iraqis getting what they DESERVED from our loyal US troops! If you see a 14-year-old boy pull out something you think is a gun, then you must "pop the grape" (AKA Shoot him in the head). If you then discover that it was not, in fact, a gun, but rather a piece of fruit for his dying grandmother, well, then, shucks, sorry 'bout that, but don't worry, no repercussions will come to you.

But seriously, this horrifying and disgusting. Honestly, I do also feel bad for our troops, because in some situations they ARE forced to take actions they would rather not take. And it can lead to some of the things shown in these pictures. Imagine having that weighing on your conscience (I know Bush can't, but those of us with intellects and consciences can).

It's ridiculous.

that the media keeps from us, you have to ask why anyone in favor of this war is looking forward to the Second Coming of Christ? I for one would be very afraid of any judgment regarding our involvement in the lies, greed, self-interest and hypocrisy that led to this unjust war.
