For all of you ready to pull the plug on Kerry winning this election, I want you to take a look at this article--then consider plugging the life support system back in.

http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsN...

Bush Seen Vulnerable to Kerry Among Independent Voters

"KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine (Reuters) - President Bush, who holds a sizable lead in some polls, still appears to be vulnerable to Democrat John Kerry among independent voters whose shifting loyalties could determine the winner of the November election, pollsters say.

Polling results from the Pew Research Center, the Christian Science Monitor and the Gallup Organization suggest independent voters are favoring Kerry as concerns about the economy and Iraq re-emerge as top campaign issues, despite a surge of support for Bush following the Republican convention..."

There is lots more here that indicates reason for continued optimism. Take a long look at the discussion of the engagement level of the American public. Higher voter turnout is a GOOD thing for Kerry (along with the rest of the Dems) and it is looking like it is gonna happen in November.

Something a lot of you have forgotten is that Kerry has ALWAYS been a strong closer--a smart campaigner. He tends to pull his races out in the last month--and it is shaping up that he's gonna do it again.

Stop mixing up the Kool Aid, put the plug back in the outlet, and get busy working on this election. This is not the time to concede anything--hell--the fun is just beginning!

1. Too many people are pissed at Bush* for Kerry to lose
and I refuse to get caught up in the doom and gloom. Yes, I realize that ths is THE most important election EVER, but the teeming masses sense it too and I believe Kerry will drive the point home between now and Nov 2.

3. A whole lot of folks will vote in anger.
There's a growing pile of body bags sneaking out of Iraq and a lot of people with no job and no prospects in sight. We have record spending and record deficits. YES--I do think you are gonna see a lot of angry voters that want shrub gone.

2. Kerry will win. That is my story and I'm sticking to it.
All we get from cable media is spin. Once I realized that I stopped worrying. I can't help but believe even those fundies who say they are voting for Shrub will, in the privacy of the voting booth vote Kerry. It would be unthinkable, to me at least, that these people would vote against their own self interests. Shrub really has nothing to run on. We are not safer in this country no matter what he says. The economy is really going in the tank and tax cuts will not help us recover. And he says Iraq is going great. Who in the world will believe that? Oh, I know, some will believe it but I feel there are not as many as Cesspool News Network and others would have you believe. The media are the real enemy. Maybe I am being too optimistic but I really feel that way.

5. Sorry, the fundies think they're voting in their own best interests...
...when they vote for the shrub on election day. I know too many fundies to think otherwise. They're in denial and so are we if we expect them to act differently.

4. it's almost over
we get no favorable media coverage, no coverage of the war, no truthful reporting about economic issues, and no coverage of *'s life of cowardice and drug abuse. Thankfully, the house of cards will collapse within a couple years, and the media, along with the BFEE, will be casualties of the ensuing revolution.
