Bagdad Bob is back and his name is Prime Minister Allawi
Today on the George Stephanopoulos I was reminded of Bagdad Bob. Remember his reports on TV saying "We are winning. America can't win this war, we will kick your ass. We will, will beat you with our shoes." Mean while in the background our soldiers and tanks were rumbling past on a Bagdad street.

Now this morning here was Prime Minister Allawi saying we are winning against the insurgency. 50 attacks a day shows we are beating them. 100,000 insurgents is an exaggeration, we control Iraq. The NIE isn't accurate, no I didn't read it.

Finally Allawi says "The tensions are much less". George Stephanopoulos says "Excuse me are you nuts?" Well, he didn't use the word "nuts", but the look on his face said as much.

2. Is Stephy nuts?
He's sitting across from a BushCo surrogate and expects to hear anything but the morning's insanity issuing out of his mouth?

Did Georgie leave his brains at home this morning?

Bush is still going around the US claiming things are looking up in Iraq. Why? Is it because there are fewer US soldiers to shoot at? After a thousand dead and untold thousands injured, you can bet there aren't as many around.

Bush is bringing the troops home, one box at a time.

(Anybody want to use that as a slogan, feel free)

3. and to think. just a month ago GEORGE is the one to say
"irag is stabilized"

you would think even if they cant make independent decisions, these "news" people would at least have lots of footage and reports available from their networks, not that this is ever shown of course.

oh i know. maybe they could try reading british, indian, or other foreign news reports. then they might have a clue before their show starts.
