20. Bush being drunk
I totally agree with you about it appearing Bush is hitting the bottle pretty hard. He often looks just like patients looked who were "drying out" in a psychiatric hospital I once worked in.
I mean sometimes the man looks totally hung-over.
Whim of a hat. What the hell is that?
Must be in there with all those "Evil Doers."

16. Even discounting the horribly mangled phrasing
Edited on Sat Sep-18-04 02:06 PM by kayell
this is a bizzare statement.

"Free societies are hopeful societies." - This from the man who has done his utmost in recent years to turn us into a deeply fearful and pessimistic society. :eyes:

"And free societies will be allies against these hateful few" - Subtext is that those who are not our allies are not free societies, because as everyone knows, all truly free societies prove it by following US directives.

"who kill at the whim of a hat." Ok, imagine that he means to say, kill on a whim or kill at the drop of a hat. This is just to reiterate the idea that terrorism is random and so quickly conceived of that *co couldn't have prevented it, rather than directed at a target, with planning, for a reason.

Calling Mark Crispin Miller, Dr. Miller, you're needed STAT.

Pretty soon he'll be calling Pickles his hat.

THE MAN WHO MISTOOK HIS WIFE FOR A HAT

Here Dr. Sacks recounts the case histories of patients lost in the bizarre, apparently inescapable world of neurological disorders: people afflicted with fantastic perceptual and intellectual aberrations;

patients who have lost their memories and with them the greater part of their pasts;

who are no longer able to recognize people and common objects; who are stricken with violent tics and grimaces

or who shout involuntary obscenities; whose limbs have become alien;
who have been dismissed as retarded ...

23. This is how he talks.
This is "Getting your point across, George-style". There is another thread here where they're debating what's wrong with George. Plenty of theories, no doubt!

However, one of the things they mentioned was that he mangles words. He mixes up 2 phrases, in particular "old sayings", like "A dog in the hand is worth 2 in the Bush", or "here's my 2-nickel's worth".

Now in the sentence above, George is obviously mixing up 2 well-known phrases;

1) Those who kill on a whim, and

2) Those who kill at the drop of a hat.

He combines them, and presto you've got a double-statement, "those who kill at the whim of a hat".

It's really fun to probe what goes on under his thick skull. If you want to read more, key in "Bush doesn't make any sense", or "Bush mangles words", or "I can't understand what Bush says". You'll get literally hundreds of interesting links which will provide you with a breathtaking array of goofs, gaffes, and in general butchering of the English language.

Way to go, George.

24. Brain Damage
No news Media has dared to bring up the subject that GW Bush has brain damage.

George Bush Medical Bombshell: Brain Damage Drama
by CONSPIRACY PLANET

Reports by a White House insider, published on TBRNews.org reveal that George W. Bush is suffering from unspecified medical problems, characterized by "seizures" or "ministrokes," possibly due to so-called cocaine stroke.

A former cocaine addict, Bush has exhibited increasingly bizarre behavior in recent years, indicative of brain damage (See: http://www.drugabuse.gov/NIDA_Notes/NNVol13N3/Cocaine.html)

Bush's mental impairment is held in check by his handler Karl Rove and Dick Cheney has become the defacto president of the United States, according to the insider's report.

Bush's performance at his latest press conference was questioned due to his anomie, characteristic of his being under heavy medication.

Also Bush's unexplained "pretzel" dive and the resulting bruise on his face several years ago are indicative of brain damage.

Medical experts suggest that mental impairment may also be a sign of HIV infection, measurable even from the earliest stages of the disease. Usually referred to as 'AIDS Dementia' it is recognized as fogetfulness and confusion.
