Rove has INFILTRATED or PLAYED the leaders of ANTI-DRAFT Movement - PROOF:
I have shocking news! Well, maybe not so shocking, considering who we are up against. Rove has clearly obviously and irrefutably neutered the leaders of the Anti-Draft movement through infiltration or by "Playing" them.

I accuse JE McNeil Executive Director of the Center on Conscience & War as well as Richard Jahnkow of Nonviolent Activist of being either the world's biggest dupes or outright plants. Both work on peripheral efforts like recruitment but are sure to waylay anyone, even reporters studying the DRAFT, from the idea that it might come back! Plus the SSS is at a minimum lying to them and then they just type up whatever they say.

Sound familiar? The Anti-Draft movement has been Roved by the foresight of the master conniver.

Here is some proof JE first (Mods--these are public service sites and all paragraphs allowed):

During the past couple of days some newspapers across the country have been reporting that Selective Service is in the process of creating procedures for a "special skills" draft, which will conscript people with computer and foreign language skills. These news articles are reading too much into too little.

J.E. McNeil, Executive Director of the Center responds:

Last September I had a lengthy discussion with Lew Brodsky, Acting Director of Selective Service, Dick Flahavan's boss and the guy with the most seniority there. I will note, for the record, Lew Brodsky has been known to call me to tell me when there is new legislation on Selective Service. Lew told me that at the VA/HUD (committee in charge of funding Selective Service) hearing in February when they had to justify their budget, they instead spent a great deal of time justifying their existence. (I was glad to hear of that since we have spent several years trying to get them defunded).

So they decided that they should look at other ways to rationalize their existence (My translation of his words to me). As part of this process, they decided to look at the possibility of not just the doctor's draft that Congress asked them to consider in the early '90s, but also other specialties that the Pentagon might need. The study justifies their existence for one year just because they were making the study and now they are making up the procedure to do it for the medical draft only. And it makes them look even more viable since they could help the Pentagon in a crisis shortfall. But remember they spent years devising a procedure (two actually) for an across the board draft and that has gotten them no closer to that actually happening.

We have been saying for several years the most likely way for the draft to come back would be for medical personnel or computer or other specialties. This merely confirms what we have been saying. The most politically viable draft is a targeted one.

But the issue of an across the board draft or a targeted will not be coming from the Pentagon or Selective Service. It will be driven by the long-term vision of Cheney, Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld to indoctrinate our youth via a draft.

In our conversations with Flahavan at Selective Service today, March 15, 2004, we received additional confirmation that the only power they currently have (without Congressional intervention) is to write up some procedures for a medical draft. While these procedures may be transferable to another targeted draft, there is nothing new about a federal agency writing up procedures. It's business as usual.

But this only underscores why it is so important for everyone to participate in our Lobbying Day on May 14. See our web page at www.nisbco.org for details.

Yours for Peace and Justice,
J. E. McNeil

"Lew" is playing her like a violin BUT IN FACT SHE IS A PLANT. They tell her in February 2003 "we had to defend our existence" but in reality on Feb. 11 they were meeting over this memo and given the go-ahead in September to do it -- when Brodsky talked to her -- and even though he knows then the whole thing is going ahead because of shortages, he tells about defending our existence. And the defending our existence thing is total baloney if you look realistically at the situation. They're not going to end registration.

Then she says "The study justifies their existence for one year just because they were making the study and now they are making up the procedure to do it for the medical draft only. And it makes them look even more viable since they could help the Pentagon in a crisis shortfall."

This is buying what Lew said hook, line and sinker.

Then she says: "In our conversations with Flahavan at Selective Service today, March 15, 2004, we received additional confirmation that the only power they currently have (without Congressional intervention) is to write up some procedures for a medical draft. While these procedures may be transferable to another targeted draft, there is nothing new about a federal agency writing up procedures. It's business as usual. "

Technically, the Congress has to pass new legislation, but we both know that if Bush asked for it, he would get it in a minute. That is more disinformation given out by her. And the memo outlines exactly the steps to be taken to get the WH permission to write the proposal!

There are only 2 conclusions here, IMHO:

1. She is a nice draft counselor, but not politically astute at all--and is getting played by professional military and intelligence personnel like a violin.

2. She is an outright mole.

I would tend toward number 1, except that she updated this page 5 days ago and still has all this outdated disinformation from March. She said she didn't even bother to read the July 13 Family Circle article which stated that Rove has polled the GOP Congress on supporting the DRAFT--which they agreed to--although she must have received queries about it and she flat out refuted what Rosenberg obviously saw: that they were going ahead from Fall 2003 to design the Skills drafting procedure.

My prediction: She is a mole and will do back-flips and rhetorical flourishes when confronted with the now revealed Issue Paper that is posted on the Web at http://blatanttruth.org/selective_service091304.pdf. But then she will say she will look at it right away.

Then you will hear nothing from her.

Of course if she calls Rosenberg, confirms it with him, slaps it up on her Web site and issues a Draft Alert, she is a nice draft counselor who got played by a professional--and she should be furious that she was lied to because she spread the lies to everyone else.

You DUers are the first people in the world to be looking at the Issue Paper and that's on purpose.

I hope I have proved my point on the Lew and JE relationship on this critical issue facing the entire planet. Bush with a draft is the Roman Empire all over again and we all know it.

Richard Jahnkow of nonviolence.org is only more of the same!!

WE HAVE BEEN INFILTRATED AND EVERY ONE OF US MUST KNOW.

NEVER TRUST ANYTHING SAID BY MCNEIL AND JAHNKOW ON THE DRAFT--THEY ARE AS CREDIBLE AS BUSH WHEN HE SAYS HE WILL NOT BRING BACK THE DRAFT!!

1. You do your duty,
as you see it.

And as the case may be, I approve.

The treacherous (and the bumbling) are everywhere. None of these is our friend now.

So call them on it!
