Check this shit out: someone I know (she posts on alt.support.childfree) sent an e-mail via AOL that contained links. The message was between two Kerry supporters, one of whom is working for the Kerry campaign.

AOL sent her a "returned e-mail" message that contained this link:

EXPLANATION:

There is at least one URL in your email that is generating substantial complaints from AOL members.

If you do not own the domain, please have the owner of that domain contact us.

And I assume we're not supposed to be pissed off that AOL admits scanning e-mails for things it doesn't like and refusing to forward messages containing them.

I believe this is a scam and not a mail from AOL to her.

Ask her if the envelope in her mailbox was blue. And those links are suspicious. I hope she didn't click on any.
