looking ahead - how should Pres. Kerry handle Saudi relations?
He has proposed a new energy initiative, I do believe - should he focus on finding non-oil energy sources so we can have less dependence on them, should he freeze their assets, should he what?

I am basing this question on the revelation that the SA royal family funded the 911 terrorists, according to Bob Graham.

1. They own 17% of the country...are they not a partner?

What 'say' do they have in how we're run on a day to day basis?

In a corporation, 17% would get you a lot of 'say'.

So how did we get to 17%? Does the 17% extend beyond oil and/or transportation and storage of oil?

Nearly forgot, China has loaned up a bundle of money.

Tell me again what leading the world is all about.

Most said facetiously.

Bandar Kerry for starters!!! No photo ops with Saudis lounging around the White House. Don't think he's going to be the least bit palsy with the royal family. Hardball diplomacy would be my guess.

3. INFLAMMATORY POST FOLLOWS
I really think Kerry will stand as a MUCH stronger leader, in al-Qaida's view, due to his support in the world. This may cause terrorists to channel much more of their anger toward the "ruling family" itself. I'm not saying this SHOULD happen, but I don't believe that most terrorists are allied with the SA royal family just because some funding came from there.
