Need a list of Christian extremist terrorist attacks since WWII
I'm writing a response to a ridiculous letter to the editor published in the Chicago Tribune today. For my letter, I need a list of the most infamous terrorist attacks perpetrated by extremist Christians inside the US in recent memory (I'd say after WWII is acceptable).

So far my list includes only the Oklahoma City bombing. I'm way too young to remember any other attacks.

4. Try the Southern Poverty Law Center's website.
They keep track of stuff like that.

Good luck.

Remember those sniper shootings? I think it was 1999. Church of God.

Some of the aryan and so-called heritage churches have websites, too. Chilling stuff.

You should also look at the assassinations of doctors and nurses by no-choice radicals.

The shoot-outs - Waco and Ruby Ridge

stop a bunch of Christian fanatics recently in Texas?

I'd call the lynchings of blacks by the KKK, an organization that purports to be Christian, as evidence of terrorism. You can get a list of their atrocities from "Eyes on the Prize", a book about the Civil Rights movement.

Then there's the guy who bombed the women's clinics in the South.

And what about the people who have murdered doctors who perform abortions?

Edited to add this: These groups are using Christianity as an excuse for their abhorrant behavior, of course, much as Osams is using Islam as an excuse.

11. That bombing in OK had nothing to do with Christian extremism
so you can check that off your list.

Look for clinic bombings.

13. I was just clicking around in the Southern Poverty Law Center
website.

I had not been there in awhile, and your post inspired me to visit.

I found reference to a website there called http://www.stormfront.org.

Holy mackerel! What a bunch of white supremacist supposedly Christian hatemongers! Check it out. It has all the theological stuff (twisted, of course) and is a real eye-opener!

:puke:
