Damned Polls
I just read a blurb on my NY Times headlines that said "Bush opens lead over Kerry despite unease voiced in survey." I have had it with these so called polls. Not too many days ago Bush had a double digit lead of Kerry but suddenly that vast lead disappeared. How does an incumbent lose a two digit lead over his opponent just some 5 weeks or so away for the election? Zogby who smelled a rat found that the two digit poll lead resulted from highly lopsided polling groups. In other words a much larger percentage of republicans were polled then democrats or other party affiliations.
Along with these I read editorial statements such as Kerry still has to communicated the reasons he wants to be president.
I'm sorry I disagree. I think it is very clear why Kerry wants to be president as it should be to anyone. It appears to me that these major polls are so highly manipulated you cannot believe what you read. I mean what better tactic to try and demoralize democratic voters than to put in their minds that Kerry is behind and can't win.
Bull. Everywhere I turn there is outrageous anti Bush sentiment. Some of it clear hatred which would include me.
Just a day or two ago a Kerry campaign headquarters in Lafayette Louisiana was vandalized and all Kerry signs were burned. This is first of all an act of domestic terrorism that Bush does not seem to mind and second it seems to me to reflect behavior from the opposition they are not nearly as confident as they might want you to believe. Actually these are acts of desperation.
From now on I only rely on Zogby polls. Bush hasn't been able to get control of him yet.

3. I realize
I realize this manipulated poll issues is nothing new but it just so struck me that a few days ago Bush lost his double digit lead. Then it was just tied. Now he "seems" to have opened up another lead be it a very small one and yet the tone from respondents was worry.
It just crystallized in my mind what utter crap all this is. I know I am not making any new revelations here. It was just this double digit lead and how he lost it that floored me.
