1. No.
that's why he had to lie...

The confusing thing is that he's not accountable...we dont hold him accountable for it at all?? Is this another part of the lowered expectations...

2. He's the "greased pig president"
which is a few steps above (or below depending on how you look at it) Teflon.

No one can hold this man accountable, not even himself.

He's just too ..... likeable! Isn't he? Awwwwwww, sweet little Georgie! He fucked up! Well, that's okay, everybody fucks up, right, little Georgie! You'll learn some day, it's okay!!!

3. He would have made up something else.
September 11, 2001 gave him all he needed-fear. He used it to gain access to things that weren't even remotely related.

4. In 9/2002 Bush said,
he already had the authority to invade Iraq. It was only after daddy's mafia objected that he went to congress and the un. As Perle said WMD's was just a selling point. Iwr was just a political maneuver.
We now know from Clarke and O'Neil that Iraq was always the first goal.
The well intended protests, etc. could not change anything. They did it because they could.
Now they have a huge mess. Had they done things right the election would already be over.
