Help please : Blog recommendations? - To replace cable TV . . . .

I'm about ready to get rid of my TV. I REALLY can't stand it anymore.

Can anyone recommend some blogs for me to look at to get the news etc.? I want something truly professional, a balanced presentation of positives and negatives on all issues. Is there such a thing?
