3. Amazon is just one source, and Unfit was bulk ordered on Amazon.
There are other ways to find out how it's selling, in addition to Amazon. It's being reported as selling very, very well... it's a bestseller on other lists, as well.

Kitty Kelly is not considered political, she appeals to all types of people who want juicy gossip. This book will sell phenomenally.

2. I work in a bookstore...
...but only on weekends. Will check figures tomorrow. :-)

Based on what I read in the papers, however, I expect that it will immediately land on both the NY Times and the Washington Post best-seller list.

4. Border's has it for 30% off. I picked it up last night while I was there
looking for a book about how to interview better. We are an un-employed household, so I couldn't buy it, but I did sit down to read it for about an hour.

I was very impressed with the extreme amount of rich detail. It isn't everyone's cut of tea in that regard; not so much a "barn burner" as a treatise (sp?).

What ARE people's problems with Kelly anyway, other than she does "uncomfortable" work?

I will buy the book if my interview today is successful.

11. Thanks much. I would never have guessed how emotionally
debilitating being un-employed is. I'm a child of the '60s; I've always prided myself on my own sense of values; looks like the work ethic got to me too.

5. Went to Costco - half of a large table had her book
and it looked like it was selling fast. I got it for 16.49. Our Costco is basically very upscale. The r books only had like 1 stack for each book.

10. Actually I just saw it at a Sam's Club in Dallas.
I was going to post about this the other day, but I didn't. I went to Sam's with a friend because he has a card and I refuse to get one. I walked in and get this; they were playing a Barbra Streisand concert on their big screen tv's and Kitty Kelley's book was prominantly displayed in the front of the store. I walked over and started reading some of the book and a freeper type man and woman came over by me and I heard the man say, "there's that book about bush*" and the woman said, "don't you even think about touching that book." Then the man said, "I don't know why they put this book up front and not the books about that idiot Kerry." I'm sure everything they were saying was for my benefit since I was pretending like I was ignoring them. Anyhow, I went and sat at a table while my friend shopped and I watched a lot of people pick the book up and leaf through it, and a couple of people even put it in their cart.
