Worst "democrat" turncoat

I left out the Alzheimer's patient, zigzag Zell - too obvious

Added Colmes. How could I forget?

1. Okay, now I'm depressed
Somehow seeing a list like this -- and one with people left OFF, even -- is very, very depressing.

10. Koch has post-traumatic stress.
I feel a little sorry for him. I saw him on the videos of 9-11, bawling his eyes out. I really think 9-11 broke something in him- he thinks Bush will protect NY and Israel. He's wrong, but I don't blame him for falling for the hype. You never know who will be susceptible. I have a good friend who's been voting GOP since Reagan's first term, but something about Bush since 9-11 just pushed her the other way.. She's mad about his position on a abortion, but it's largely the Orwellian media and the way they always cover up for him thast made her more suspicious of him. She's a committed Kerrryite now, even though she's wealthy...

He always seemed very libertarian to me - an equal opportunity offender...until 9/11.

46. He did a show down south early in his career (when he was new on SNL)
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 07:31 AM by The Flaming Red Head
and they wanted to beat him up at this night club for his liberal and leftist humour. After that he hated the south for years and talked bad about rednecks and southerners and then all of sudden he became one of their darlings, go figure.

I liked him a lot when he first started out.

Schumer and Biden seem to be more in tune with the wishes of AIPAC and PNAC and the cult of Israelism. Jerry Brown for ordering Oakland cops to open fire on anti-war protestors and dock workers with not always non-lethal weaponry during the invasion of Iraq.

If your beef is with extreme-right-wing Likudnik thinking, say that. If you make it sound like you're anti-Israel, your post might end up deleted along with the others that were very similar to yours.

But hey, it's your post.

Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 02:58 AM by UdoKier
I personally support Israel's right to exist, although I deplore the settlements. Nothing excuses the suicide bombings, but Israel has no right to be sttling there, and it's needlessly inflaming the situation.

I'm baffled by the Likud's stubbornness on this issue.

38. Try criticizing Israel
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 03:47 AM by geek tragedy
without labeling most of the Democratic Senators as "dual loyalists."

Also recognize that the Democratic party has NEVER been anti-Israel, so being pro-Israel in no way makes a person less of a Democrat.

39. you can't criticize israel without being called anti-semitic...
Edited on Fri Sep-17-04 04:13 AM by JSJ
...in a lot of places- I certainly hope that doesn't apply here. For every politician with a Jewish surname that supports Israel, there will be many more, by a factor of 10, that support Israel but without having Jewish names or a Jewish heritage. They're called Republicans. And freepers. And Baptists. And Christian Identitists. And so on.

40. Wrong again.
Support of Israel has been a mainstream Democratic position for decades.

You may not like it, and you may have a point.

But supporting Israel does not make someone less of a Democrat.

Now please stop this inaccurate, divisive rhetoric.

is that he seems convinced of the idea that one should back Bush no matter what, because it's what a patriot should do. Respect for the office, is one thing, but supporting a man without question doesn't make you a patriot, it makes you a sheep.
