accusation that Kerry missed intelligence meetings?
About six weeks ago, there was a Republican talking point that John Kerry missed intelligence meetings.

What was the explanation?

1. We can counter by saying while Kerry may have missed some
intelligence meetings, Bush is missing intelligence altogether!

2. To me, that sounds like we're admitting that it's true
We need to tout the true explanation so that people don't think he missed those meetings.

5. Can't "miss the meetings" if you're not on the Intelligence Committee....

3. news items this last week that bush has not been in the white house ....
for over a month.... "44 days" sticks in my mind. Also, it is reported he has not spent "a full day in the white house" in all that time. From those two items, perhaps the original news article with the exact info, can be located.

7. were these not public meetings?
the kind that you, me, and any other Joe can go to? His attendance at the closed door private meetings (where i would imagine stuff actually gets done) was more than acceptable, IIRC.
