About last night's 60 Minutes II that was pre-empted by a movie

It seems that several people posted on here last night including myself saying that their 60 Minutes II had been blacked out or pre-empted by another show. I sent a letter to our local newspaper in addition to calling the station to find out why they weren't showing it. I was assured that it had nothing to do with the controversy about Bush's TANG. This morning my husband sent an email to the station protesting their decision not to show the program. Below is the response that he received. I wonder if other posters will be able to see what they were not permitted to see last night.

"Thank you for your note.
Several weeks ago we sold time last night for the Billy Graham telecast we aired, believing that CBS would have a repeat episode of another program in the 8 o'clock time period. Belatedly, the network scheduled the 60 Minutes follow up material on the national guard documents controversy.
In light of the high level of interest in that broadcast, we have arranged for the 60 Minutes episode to be shown tonight at 7 o'clock on WDBJ.
Hindsight is 20/20. Had we been able to anticipate the confluence of events, we would have scheduled the Graham program elsewhere.

I don't know why he called it a Billy Graham telecast when it was a movie that was introduced by Franklin Graham. Since we were so steamed about being deprived the right to watch the show, we didn't bother to watch the movie "Last Flight Out" about a washed up pilot who went to SA to rescue his love from drug runners.


So tonight we'll watch what I've already read about on several sites. BUT ONE THING IS ENCOURAGING ABOUT THIS MOVE TO SHOW THE PROGRAM. THIS VERY CONSERVATIVE AREA MUST HAVE A LOT MORE KERRY SUPPORTERS THAN THE REPUGS THINK!! :BOUNCE:
