3. Judy Whoreduff said Bush was inching up on Kerry in
Minnesota, where Kerry has a NINE point lead. Talk about misleading headlines!

6. I've been seeing polls much closer than that in MN
9 points is hardly inching up from what I've been hearing.

7. Memories of the 2002 "Dead Heat" races where Dems were leading
and then all of a sudden SHAZAM! Republicans won the seats where Dems had been leading.

What a shocker!

Also, VNS filed Chapter 11 the next day (I think it was the next day) and permanently sealed the 2002 election day polling information.

I thought this state would go Democrat. I think it was a poll of 500 voters. I still think this state will go Dem.

Kerry Losing Lead Over Bush In Illinois

CHICAGO (CBS 2) The presidential election is just 48 days away now, and according to an exclusive new poll of Illinois voters, George W. Bush and John Kerry could be in a virtual dead heat.
<snip>
The numbers in our exclusive CBS 2/Newsradio 780 poll put Kerry at 49 percent and Bush at 45 percent.
<snip>
Democrats and Republicans here agree that Kerry's been badly wounded by his Swift Boat foes.

Our survey may mean the Kerry Campaign will no longer be quite so confident here. They haven't even sent any yard signs or bumper stickers to Illinois.
"our exclusive CBS 2/Newsradio 780 poll"? Chickenshit bullshit.

When I saw it, I didn't notice the "fine print".

For the strong of stomach, there's a video at the link.

18. I know ILLINOIS has been pegged as a state the repukes
want to steal. They've called for people to poll watch. I see this as another set-up...just like Ca.

If the polls are "close" and they steal it through voter intimidation or electronic voting machines, no one will be shocked. After all, the polls said the race was close. :scared:

I ask them....WHY???? would the people who are voting for Obama, vote for the chimp? It makes NO SENSE. Last I heard, Obama had a 41 point lead over Keyes. I haven't seen any Sept. poll for the Obama/Keyes race. Next thing....Keyes is closing in on Obama. When hell freezes over.

20. That's odd
"Our survey may mean the Kerry Campaign will no longer be quite so confident here. They haven't even sent any yard signs or bumper stickers to Illinois."

I live in Northern Illinois. I went to the Dem HQ for the county and was able to get buttons, bumper stickers, yard signs, etc. They aren't getting HUGE amounts of them, but they are def there. The Kerry campaign isn't dumping a huge amount of money in Illinois for obvious reasons, but they do have campaign goodies available on the ground here. The only complaints that I heard was that they weren't getting as much money assistance as they'd like from the DNC and that the shipments of signs and stuff was slow.

17. This is so fucking wrong it defies belief.
NO fucking way is Kerry losing ground in Illinois. None. Zero. Zip. Zlich. Nada.

I saw this same bullshit at electoral-vote.com. Whoever that guy is that runs that site, he needs to stop doing those drugs. There is NO possible way whatsoever that Bush is gaining ground in Illinois.

21. Expect the polls to always show a dead heat. They can't steal
the election if this is not the case. They control ALL the press, including CBS and they will create and publish the desired polls

22. Monkeys are flying out my backside too...
Where and WHO did they poll? White guys at a Klan meeting in Southern Illinois? Did they ask five women at the Du Page County GOP picnic? I find it difficult to think that anyplace in Cook would have shown that kind of response. I'm always skeptical of polls anyhow--seems like the guy who pays for it always gets the responses he's hoping for...

Remember, Illinois has gone Dem in something like three or four of the last Presidential races. The Chimp did not win Illinois last time and you know he won't this time either. The Illinois GOP has been in a coma for a while now and I don't see them waking up anytime soon.

23. Is Illinois set up with BBV machines?
That's the only way the Bush would be in a dead heat with Kerry. They are planning on stealing votes in all of the states.

27. Where I vote.......
They use black markers and the fill in the oval votes. Then you take it to an optical scanner that spits it out if you did bad. Before that, they used the punch cards. I don't believe BBV has touched Illinois, YET.
