Some Stuff with Ivan
I've heard reports that due to Ivan, the Mississippi River has reversed course.

I also heard that New Orleans could be under 18 feet of water.

Any word if true?

2. It's not even raining in New Orleans.
They're out of the bullseye.

It may flood tommorrow when the rain comes down

3. about NO being under water
there was a thread last night about a worst-case scenario where if the eye of Ivan made landfall a bit west of NO it could cause NO to be under about that much water.

It said NO is about 9 feet below sea-level and the dikes and levees would be over-flowed making the 'bowl' that is NO a big-time disaster.
