8. 100,000 at least depend on public transpo... plus, most deaths are
caused by flooding in the interior.

Okay, so maybe some people could have left and they made the wrong choice for what ever reason... are you saying its okay to be irreverent towards their deaths? Because they didn't make the best choice?

19. Well, it WON'T get only Republicans. Thanks a lot.
Watch the news. Some people don't have the money to pay for a hotel room - if there were any available. At this point the nearest hotel rooms available were in Jackson, Tennessee. And gas stations in New Orleans were charging $10 a gallon for gas.

So why don't you back off. Some people have no choice but to stay.

5. A lot of people arent able to leave
I heard the Mayor of New Orleans saying earlier that 100,000 people there depend of public transportation, they cant go anywhere and lots of elderly folks.

I can not believe we still have power here in Mobile, it has gone on and off but for now, it's still on.

It looks like the eye is slightly turning towards Pensacola. Maybe a landfall between Mobile and Pensacola.

20. That isn't the Stars and Bars.
The Stars and Bars was the flag of the Confederate states and did not have the Confederate Battle flag insignia in the corner. The flag on my avatar is the Mississippi state flag.

11. 400K to stay b/c "evacuation process is taking as long as 10 to 12 hours."
In Louisiana, Dr. Walter Maestri, director of the Jefferson Parish's emergency management office predicted as many as 400,000 people would remain in New Orleans and surrounding areas "because the evacuation process is taking as long as 10 to 12 hours."

About 1.2 million people live in affected parishes in Louisiana, according to Lt. Col. Pete Schneider of the Louisiana Office of Emergency Preparedness. At least 33 shelters have opened in the state for displaced residents, but they are full and no hotels have vacancies, he said.

13. This sounds like something you'd find at Freak Republik.
And while we expect such things of the extra-chromosome crowd over there, liberals should be better than to gloat over other people's misfortunes.
