Laura Bush the SCHOOLTEACHER???
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 10:31 PM by Catch22Dem
Look at this SHIT!

"That's actually one of the risks you take when you run for public office or when you're in the public eye for any reason, and that's that obviously a lot of things are said about you that aren't true and that's the drawback -- that's the one thing that's not great about serving in public office."

OMFG! I had an English prof in college who was a total NAZI about overusing "that" and Laura broke it out SEVEN times in one rambling, incoherent sentence!

ON EDIT: From this article: Group offers $50,000 for proof of Bush service

2. Ah, fuck her, who cares. LOL
I don't know. I thought I heard she was a teacher, but on second thought, I believe you're correct.

12. No, Catch22Dem was not totally wrong.
Laura taught for a couple of years, then became a librarian. She quit working when she married, although the twins didn't come along for a couple of years. And of course, she was a stay-at-home mom!

10. Laura is suppose to have a masters!
I'm not sure how true that is through, does anyone know?

I'm convinced however that she sold dime bags and probably lbs.

5. You're confusing
Laura Bush "the school teacher" with Laura Bush "the vehicular homicidal maniac". Clearly, it was the latter Laura who spoke so ineloquently.

6. Hahahaha!
Like wife like husband... well like husband like wife I guess? It was funny to see here co-opt "that" into her verbal wreckage. :D

11. Yes, she taught first.
She earned her BS in education from SMU in Dallas in 1968 & taught a few years. In 1973 she got an MLS at UT Austin, then was a school librarian in Austin until she met W. They married in 1977 & she dropped her "career" like a hot potato. The twins were born in November, 1981.

I googled to get info on the MLS & happened upon "What Librarians DO Think about Laura Bush". My favorite among the widely ranging opinions: The seamstress in me wants to recut 3/4 of the bodices I see in her photos - but that's another issue.

14. Wellllll, as a teacher who has a "checkered past"
the thing about Laura smoking or selling pot doesn't bother me at all. Everyone has smoked, (OK, you and you and you have not), so I guess we are disgusted with her "holier than thou" attitude? You know, she might not be the Stepford Wife that we all thought. She may be just as depraved and evil as he is.
