I have finally decided to DUMP cnn.com as a news source AT ALL

Their homepage shows TOP STORIES as most news outlets...but COME ON!!! Martha going to the big-house is story-prime...never mind Ivan...or Iraq...or the election...Martha is number one. I just can't take it. I have come to the point where NO news is worthy of trust...

When evaluating a story for factual content and/or relevance...how do you handle it? Just take everything with a lump (rather than a grain) of salt??? DAMMIT!

I haven't visited any of the cable news websites-- let alone their televison programs-- since about 2000 or so. I respond to the occasional call to DU a poll, but that's it. Consequently, I have a pretty good idea of how badly the occupation of Iraq is going, but I haven't the least idea what's up with Scott Peterson, Michael Jackson, and so on.

and tried to glean what is PROBABLY the truth from the various stories...but it has gotten to the point that I can no longer do this...I guess just sticking my head in the sand is the way to go...

Notice that Larry King rarely has political shows on? This is the guy who had months of airtime branding Gary Condit as a killer. Shortly after 9-11.......hardly anything political is scheduled. He's way too busy with psychics and born again stories.

Saudis have one big agenda: Keep Bush in office to protect them from investigations into their support of terrorists.

information on ownership of CNN by the Saudis on the web...

In regards to Kerry holding the Saudis accountable lets hope so! At least Kerry does not appear to haev the same connections to the Royal family that the Bushs have. Although there are many here at DU that think that the Saudis have nothign to do with 911 I am not one of them. I believe that there are saudi connections that go way beyond the nationalities of the hijackers and Osama. I hope Kerry keeps an eye on the role of certain egyptians while he's at it.
