I live in an area that was hit but Hugo (cat 4) and it took years actually to get this place up to par.

6. That's not what the NOAA guy on Miss. Public Radio just said...
The hurricane is again headed 340 degreesNNW , and he said that it doesn't seem to be breaking as northward as they had predicted. It will strike further west than had been predicted earlier today. From N.O. to the MS gulf coast.

He called it a "badly behaved hurricane."

7. That's the thing with hurricanes
You never really know where they're going.

Charley was expected to just buzz up the west coast, but instead it stalled, gained strength, and took a sharp right at Punta Gorda.

It's all guesstimation at best =(
