"Little Georgie and the Hornet" (a parable)
Edited on Wed Sep-22-04 04:44 PM by xray s
One morning, little Georgie was walking though the playground at school on his way class. He was excited, because this was the day that the teacher was going to finish the story "My Pet Goat", one of Georgie's favorite. Well, when he went past the slide, a mean old hornet came by and bite little Georgie right on the nose! His nose swelled up real big and got very red. It hurt real bad.

Georgie went crying into the school and the principal saw Georgie and asked him what happened. Georgie told the principal about the mean old hornet. The principal found the hornets nest in a tree around the corner from the playground. The principal told Georgie everything would be alright. He told Georgie that later that night, when all the hornets were in the nest, the custodian would go out and spray the nest with Raid and get rid of all the hornets. Georgie wanted someone to get them now! But the principal said in order to get rid of them all, Georgie had to be patient.

Well, Georgie sat and stewed in all of his classes that morning. He kept thinking of that hornet. And the more he thought about it, the madder he got.

After lunch, all the kids went out on the playground and were having a great time. But Georgie wanted to get that mean old hornet. So he took a baseball bat and snuck up to the hornets nest and whacked it real hard! All of a sudden, hundreds of hornets were flying around the playground, stinging all the children. Georgie ran away as fast as he could. And when the principal came out and saw all the kids crying, he asked Georgie why he hit the nest.

"I just wanted to kill that one hornet that bit me". Georgie said. And looking to the ground, he found a hornet he killed with the bat. "See?", said little Georgie. "I got one! Don't you feel safer out here now?"

1. Great job!
I like it, it's the perfect way to explain the situation to people who don't really understand what has been going on.

Kick :kick:

4. Send it to Olberman, I am serious, I haven't read something
so on target that just might get to the minds that tend to like small stories such as that instead of the real deal such as the death of so many soldiers and Iraqs considering what the real Georgie has been guilty of..

Kudos to you, wonderful and insightful fairy tale, or is it?

Heh, "how things work." Tell me, though, why were so many so surprised to discover Buckhead is a repub activist? Isn't it because he kept it a secret? Kind of like you are doing here? So why be surprised when someone's idiot light goes on when they discover a connection?

Buckhead didn't say, "I'm a freeper with an ax (of evil) to grind and not an expert in typography, but this sure sounds expert, don't it? So believe me!"

Oh, wait, you're talking about Bush and "the terrorists are flooding over the boarders." My bad. I got the hornets mixed up.
