The Labour Party is to frightened of losing to their opposition, and will not call for a "No Confidence" vote.

Anyone who thinks that Labour party will turn on Blair, probably think that the House Republicans are working with House Democrats to start impeachment proceedings against Bush.

Bush (& Blair) have placed us in breeds this type of awful situation.
Negotiating a release would be wonderful, but these guys won't back down and it would embolden others to take more hostages. It's criminal what Bush has brought forth with his arrogance!
