BUSH mocks KERRY'S foreign policy creds?!?
I had a hard time believing it, but here it is:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A42197-2004Sep22.html

Say, George, I hear Colin's out after January. There IS another foreign policy expert you can turn to, though (assuming she's still alive), one from your father's administration: Millie the Dog.

http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/06/24/president.2000/foreign.policy/

Turns out we were all wrong during the 2000 campaign; foreign policy experience IS important. Vitally important. But there's an old saying in Texas, I think it's in Tennessee, too....

1. I believe Millie
is dead. He could look elsewhere--or dig her up?

2. Couldn't hurt...
It might even be an improvement. Hell, foreign policy's been brain dead all along anyway.

4. A dead dog is likely to have better ideas about foreign policy
than Mr. 'on the job training.' This guy is so dense, bystanders lose IQ points when they get too close.

3. Their attacks are so shallow
and will be stripped away before Nov. 2. Grasping at straws comes to mind.

7. Actually, I loved reading about this one.
Remember how desperate 41 was when he made his Millie remark. That's why this one brought it to mind for me. It gratifies me no end to see this because it is the first real indication to me that 43 might be getting fairly worried about what's to come. I must say, I read the article with a smile on my face!

5. Kerry needs to replay that Q&A session when Bush didn't know
the names of any foreign leaders except Fox and Blair in 2000.

6. As Kerry has been saying ...
Bush is living in Fantasyland.

9. Bush's statement is perfectly reasonable and honest.
Consider the quote from the article...

"I'm driven by my desire to protect the American people. I'll be steadfast in my resolve to do everything I can to make you secure."

Breaking it down, one can see the truthfulness of his statement.

"I'm driven by my desire to protect the American people."

Yes, W, you may well be driven (partly) by your desire to protect the American people; however, this desire may not be your greatest desire or highest priority, nor is your "desire" any more credible or measurably greater than that of your opponent.

"I'll be steadfast in my resolve to do everything I can to make you secure."

Again a truthful statement, but the listener must pay attention to the key qualifiers in this statement: "steadfast in my resolve" and "everything I can."

Bush *will* do everything *he* can to make us secure. The fact that he's an incompetent boob, however, severely limits the degree to which we can realistically attain security under his misleadership. And the fact that he steadfastly pursues his ill-conceived goals and incompetently planned actions certainly isn't to be argued, but neither is it to be praised -- or supported.

10. Bush is out of touch!
He has no idea what's going in this country let alone anywhere else. It's like he's stumbling through life in an alcohol and coke haze.

11. Atleast Kerry knew where Vietnam was long before Bush did.
On second thought, Bush still may not know.
